As part of the "Quality Education – Leave No One Behind" project, implemented across Madhesh Pradesh, Karnali Pradesh, and Sudurpaschim Pradesh under the leadership of Save the Children in collaboration with NNSWA, Save the Saptari, and RCRD Nepal with European Union funding, workshops have been planned to incorporate children's perspectives into Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials.
A workshop will be scheduled in Madhesh Province from December 3–5, 2024, to finalize idea and frameworks for IEC materials with the following objectives.
- Engage children and stakeholders in identifying barriers to inclusive education and proposing solutions.
- Encourage children’s participation in designing themes for IEC materials through creative activities like drawing and storytelling.
- Promote inclusivity and awareness by addressing child rights, education, protection, and development through visual storytelling.
- Prepare a final conceptual framework for illustrative IEC materials to promote inclusive and quality education in the region.
Consultancy Service
To facilitate this workshop, get the idea and illustrate the idea in terms of meaningful drawings RCRD seeks a consultant (visual artist) to moderate the workshop sessions and develop high-quality illustrations that reflect the workshop ideas.
Objective
The primary objectives of this consultancy are:
- Facilitate and moderate workshop discussions in Madhesh Province to ensure effective engagement and the finalization of concepts for IEC materials.
- Develop high-quality illustrations based on children’s perspectives and finalized themes, contributing to impactful IEC materials promoting inclusive and quality education.
Scope of Work
The consultant will:
- Workshop Moderation (December 3–5, 2024):
- Facilitate sessions to refine ideas and gather inputs from children and stakeholders.
- Use inclusive and child-friendly approaches to guide discussions and activities.
- Document key discussions and finalized concepts for IEC materials.
- Illustration Development:
- Analyze workshop outputs and themes.
- Create draft illustrations based on finalized concepts.
- Incorporate feedback from RCRD, NNSWA, and Save the Children.
- Delivery finalized illustrations in digital format.
Key Deliverables
- Workshop moderation report summarizing discussions and finalized concepts.
- Initial sketches and draft illustrations for IEC materials.
- Finalized, high-quality illustrations aligned with the workshop themes.
- Digital files of illustrations in ready-to-use format.
